Secondary Mathematics Educator
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering culturally responsive teaching and be committed to fostering a supportive learning environment for Black students.
Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and deliver mathematics lessons to secondary students (grades 8-12) according to the academy’s curriculum.

Provide individualized support to students, addressing specific learning needs and helping them improve their mathematical skills.

Develop and implement classroom activities that promote problem-solving, critical thinking, social emotional learning (SEL), and a love of learning.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.

Ontario Certified Teachers are preferred.
Secondary Science Curriculum Consultant
Role Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable Science Curriculum Consultant to enhance our science programs. The successful candidate will integrate cultural perspectives into the curriculum, ensuring relevance and engagement for our students.
Responsibilities

Design and develop science curriculum for secondary students (grades 9-12) in line with the academy's educational goals.

Create engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.

Ensure that curriculum content promotes critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and problem-solving.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field.

Ontario Certified Teachers are preferred.
