Building a Strong Foundation in Math
Our Grade 9 mathematics curriculum focuses on key mathematics concepts and skills, as well as on making connections between related math concepts. We also emphasize the importance of understanding how math is used in everyday life.
This curriculum is designed to support all students in developing an understanding of, and the ability to apply, the range of mathematical knowledge and skills appropriate for the grade level.
In this course, you’ll explore important concepts like algebra, geometry, and data management.
Grade 9 English Language
Enhancing Your Communication Skills
In our Grade 9 English Language, students will improve their reading, writing, and speaking abilities. This course will help every student understand and analyze different types of texts, from stories to informational articles, and express their ideas clearly. It will also explore literature that reflects your experiences and heritage, making learning more meaningful and enjoyable.
Students will also make connections to their lived experiences and society and increase their understanding of the importance of language and literacy across the curriculum.
Grade 9 French Language
Discovering the French Language and Culture
This course provides students with opportunities to communicate and interact in French, focusing on familiar topics related to their daily lives. Students will develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing by using language learning strategies. They will also apply creative and critical thinking skills to various activities.
They will also explore French-speaking cultures around the world, connecting language learning with real-life contexts. This course is perfect for students who are new to French or want to improve their existing skills.
